Rainy in Amsterdam

Hi Everyone! We made it from Slovenia to Amsterdam successfully. We ended up departing Bled a few hours later then expected, after I struggled to find the only ATM that was working in Bled. Other then that initial struggle, the rest of the traveling (plane, bus, train, & tram) was quite easy.

Amsterdam is a wonderful city. Its been really intersting to see how different the transit system is from what we have at home. Here, you find special bike lanes that cover the entire downtown. We rented a couple "city bikes" for three days, and they helped to explore the city.

I'm down to the last minuite of internet time, so we'll have to update you again later..

Love,
Erin & Erik

We were happy to get your latest update! Glad all is well. How are the drivers in Amsterdam? It probably feels safer on a bike knowing you have your own piece of the roadway to ride on. Heard today in London they are expecting a record rainfall. The equivalent of one month in one day! It seems to be raining everywhere!

Lucky. Good thing you have a whole lane to yourselves for biking, it just wouldn't be safe otherwise, after eating all the brownies.

It seems like ages since we heard from you so glad you made it to Amsterdam. Have you been to the ocean yet? I remember being fascinated by the dyke system over there and the huge windmills! Erik, you will be used to the wind and the rain after living in Aberdeen. I think we finally got the sunshine our way. Take lots of pictures and stay safe.
